A maxi-confiscation of over 3 million euros was carried out by the financial police of the Provincial Command of Cagliari, on the orders of the Cagliari Public Prosecutor's Office.
The Guardia di Finanza is targeting the assets of five people already definitively sentenced for international drug trafficking to sentences ranging from 4 to 10 years of imprisonment.
The seizure is the latest act of the “Red Lion” investigation, with the military of the Economic-Financial Police Unit of Cagliari who have concentrated on reconstructing the illicit proceeds from drug trafficking carried out on the Sardinia-Netherlands axis by a criminal organization dismantled by the Cagliari Flying Squad , which in 2013 had led to the arrest of 7 people.
At the time, assets worth 3 million euros had been seized from the gang, and now those same assets have been subject to a confiscation order.
In detail, these include properties (9 buildings, one of which is a prestigious one with an estimated value of approximately 800,000 Euros), 17 plots of land and also company shares, business complexes and financial resources.
