Cagliari, a sewer pipe breaks: via Lanusei closed for urgent works
Road must be blocked to restore pipeline: traffic diverted

Via Lanusei in Cagliari is closed to traffic, from the roundabout of Piazzetta Silvio Lippi to the intersection with Via Carbonia in the one-way section of the road, for an emergency intervention following the breakage of a sewer pipe.
The break occurred in the late morning. The local police intervened on site for the first surveys, as well as the firefighters to secure the area. The workers are now at work, with the intervention that occurred on the street and forced to close the access to via Lanusei, to allow for extraordinary maintenance .
The pipeline will be replaced to restore regular operation. The road closure will continue throughout the afternoon, until the work is completed . Traffic has increased on Via XX Settembre, with cars coming from Via Sonnino having the only option – to go up Viale Regina Margherita – to get to the traffic light and turn right.
