Cabras, neither born nor died in those years: the sign on Via Pascoli is all wrong

Both the date of birth and the date of death are wrong. The only things that are correct are the name and the profession: poet.
In Cabras, a few meters from the Mar'e Pontis pond and the church of Santa Maria Assunta, there is a street named after Giovanni Pascoli, an emblematic figure of late 19th-century Italian literature, considered the greatest Italian decadent poet. The year of birth and death are also indicated under the name, but incorrectly. A curiosity that has long been talked about by the people of Cabras.
Pascoli was in fact born in San Mauro di Romagna on December 31, 1855 and not as erroneously stated in the toponymy in 1885. He then died in Bologna, on April 6, 1912, and not as stated in 1924. An error that has citizens who live in the area talking in particular. Several people have already reported the error to the Municipality and evidently no one has ever intervened.
