Cabras: even the last wooden bridge ends in the water for tourists to admire the lagoon

The wood, if taken in hand, crumbles immediately. A clear sign that the maintenance of that huge structure has never been done . Even the last bridge built about 20 years ago by the Municipality of Cabras, as part of the "Riberas" project financed by the European Union for a total of about 500 thousand euros, broke in two and ended up in the water .

What was supposed to be the flagship of the town, namely a nature trail to allow tourists on holiday to admire the shores of the lagoon and to better highlight the typical area of the territory , has been floating in the pond of Mar'e Pontis for a few hours , at the exit of the town, towards the Sinis coast.

In short, a great and ambitious project, which however fell apart in the true sense of the word. In fact, since it was built, no municipal administration has put a hand on the wooden structure. Now the Municipality of Cabras led by Mayor Andrea Abis will have to take care of the removal . The bridge disturbs the daily activity carried out by the fishermen of the town.
