Tomorrow at 5:45 pm, in the council chamber of the Municipality of Burcei, the municipal administration will confer honorary citizenship to Mauro Trogu, the lawyer of Beniamino Zuncheddu, released from prison after thirty years in prison as an innocent man.

Lawyer Trogu represented Beniamino Zunchedduo after his conviction for the 1991 Sinnai massacre in Cuili Is Coccus, in which three people were killed: Gesuino and Giuseppe Farris, father and son, and Ignazio Pusceddu.

Beniamino Zuncheddu was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment. He has always declared himself innocent. Then the review of the trial and a year ago his release from prison at the conclusion of the trial in Rome: a long journey in which Beniamino Zuncheddu was defended by the lawyer Trogu, who now receives the gratitude of the municipal administration and the town with the awarding of honorary citizenship.
