Short circuit in the technical room of the lifts at the “Mastino” hospital in Bosa . The fault caused electrical overheating of the conductors and the fumes produced triggered the fire alarm. Two teams of the Macomer and Cuglieri Fire Brigade intervened on the spot, around 7 pm yesterday.The employees of the structure, coordinated by telephone by the Macomer fire brigade team, first cut off the power supply and subsequently requested the intervention of the plant maintenance technician.

The teams secured the building by opening the compartments to allow the combustion fumes to escape. It was not necessary to evacuate any patients and health personnel as the room is adjacent and not in communication with the hospital wards. The agents of the Municipal Police of Bosa intervened on the spot.
