Bonnanaro arrested for mistreatment and threats to his mother

Arrested for abusing his mother in Bonnanaro . The Carabinieri intervened on Saturday, called 112 by the woman who reported that her son had threatened to kill her in order to obtain money, presumably for gambling.

The Carabinieri officers from the Torralba station, who arrived immediately on the scene with the support of their colleagues from Bonorva, arrested the man who continued to intimidate the mother. The investigation later revealed that the man's behavior had been ongoing for years, with repeated episodes of threats and insults, as well as one incident of physical violence .

This morning, during the immediate hearing in Sassari, Judge Antonio Spanu ordered the suspect placed under house arrest, while prosecutor Giovanni Dore had requested prison time. The defendant was represented by Antonio Piredda, a lawyer from the Nuoro Bar Association.
