Bluetongue and deer disease, easing of restrictions on Sardinian animals
Free movement for sheep and cattle from Sassari, Gallura, Nuoro and Ogliastra
New relaxation of the obligations on the extra-regional movement of sheep and cattle in relation to deer disease (Ehd) and blue tongue serum type three (Btv3) .
From the provinces of Sassari, Gallura, Nuoro and Ogliastra the garments can in fact be moved freely outside Sardinia without the need for the test (Pcr) to be carried out with negative results. These are the new provisions communicated by the Ministry of Health to the Region.
The obligation of specific tests for Ehd and Btv3 - explains a note from the Region - remains for the handling of garments from the province of Oristano, in part of the province of South Sardinia and in the westernmost part of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari , while the test only for serotype three of the Blu Tongue in the remaining areas of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and southern eastern Sardinia, with the exclusion of areas in which viral circulation of the deer disease has also been found, where double testing will continue to be required Pcr (Ehd and Btv3).
