Fined by the Arst controllers because she had the wrong ticket for that ride. Unfortunately, it was a misunderstanding since the passenger is a blind woman originally from Seneghe. The episode happened yesterday and caused quite a stir, with a strong stance from the Italian Blind Union that intervened in support of the woman.
The story
The woman got on the bus headed to Milis, where her sister lives. Once on the bus, the unpleasant surprise occurred. The president of the Italian Blind Union Leonardo Nurra says: "The lady, our member, had the ticket with her but did not notice whether the ticket was for urban or extra-urban transport - he explains - Once she got on the vehicle, after showing the ticket to the driver, she sat down normally". Once she arrived in Milis, the surprise epilogue: the Arst controllers, in a routine check, found that the ticket used was for another type of journey and so the passenger was fined. An administrative fine of 52 euros and a bitter taste in the mouth for what had happened.
The complaint
The Italian Blind Union is ready to appeal because it was a misunderstanding: "The woman explained that she had the tickets at home but took the wrong one because she can't see well, but the justification was not accepted by the controllers, who didn't even want to see our member's card. They could have simply made her pay the extra-urban ticket without the humiliation of the fine."
