"It wasn't me." Antonio Luigi Fiori rejects, this morning in court in Sassari, the accusation of having beaten to death, in August 2023, Nicola Pasquarelli , the 78-year-old found charred in the pine forest of Piandanna in front of the Ecological Center.

In the summary trial, before the preliminary hearing judge Sergio De Luca, Fiori, defended by the lawyer Marco Palmieri, provided his version of the facts, recounting his relationship with Andrea Aurora Addis , the woman who accused him of the murder and, in October of a year ago, died of an overdose at the age of just over twenty.

A story characterized by drug use in a context of great social unease.

According to the civil parties, who represent the deceased's wife and children, Fiori contradicted himself several times in his reconstruction of the incident. The preliminary hearing judge adjourned the hearing until November for discussion.

The prosecutor is Lara Senatore, the civil lawyers are Michele Galia, Vittorio Delogu and Emilio Censori. Delogu also recalled how Pasquarelli's remains, after a year, have not yet been delivered to the family.
