Rubens and Bryan Carta, the brothers aged 31 and 27 put in custody on charges of beating the shit out of Tonino Porcu, a 78-year-old farmer found dead in his home in Ghilarza in February, answered the questions of the gup. Federica Fulgheri. And they provided their versions of the facts.

The long interrogation took place this morning via videoconference. Rubens, defended by the lawyer Angelo Battista Mario Marras, repeated what had already been said to the carabinieri and to the prosecutor who coordinates the investigations, Marco de Crescenzo, the day he ended up in handcuffs, and partially admitted his responsibilities.

Bryan too - represented by the lawyers Fabio Messina and Agostinangelo Marras - chose to speak, while previously he had made use of the right not to answer. His version, however, would be different from that of his brother, while also containing this partial admissions.

Porcu, the night between 21 and 22 February, was surprised in his house in via Regina Elena by the two brothers, this is the prosecution's version, who were looking for money to buy drugs. The Carta would then beat him to death.

Now we await the decision of the Gup on the validation of the arrest and the possible precautionary custody order.
