The beach resort season in southern Sardinia continues. After a good summer, with a 20% increase in attendance, many will remain open until October.
Danilo Cacciuto, a beach entrepreneur with the "il Villaggio 88" establishment on Nora beach in Pula, is satisfied: "Compared to last summer, June was excellent with a 20% increase, and in the second half of August and the first weeks of September, a 25% increase in attendance. We are confident for September and will be open throughout October."
Samuele Nonnis, manager of the "Sam Beach" establishment at Poetto Beach in Cagliari: "We had a good season this year, with a large number of tourists: there was a 35% increase, and if the weather is favorable, we will remain open until the end of October." Tina Abis, president of the "Golfo degli Angeli" cooperative at Poetto Beach in Cagliari, which has seven beach establishments along the coast: "We worked well, except for a slight dip at the end of July and the first week of August, recovering in the second half of the month and the first weeks of September. Now, after the natural decline related to the school holidays , we don't have the same attendance as in previous months, but we intend to guarantee service throughout the month of September, keeping open: "Golfo 1" (at the first stop) and "Golfo 3" (at the fifth stop, near the CTM stop).
