A rock on the sea in Torre di Barì was defaced. Vandals defaced it with a smiling smiley, three of a kind, stars and hearts.

The ones who noticed the disfigurement were some tourists who have been frequenting that stretch of beach for years. And so they immediately reported it to Unione Sarda. It is customary for children to dive from that rock, which looks like a turtle.

"We hope there are no other similar episodes and that now, that it is no longer intact, others feel authorized to make signs," said the vacationers, habitués of Ogliastra. Adding: "We have been coming here for 18 years with the family and we consider it one of the most beautiful places to spend the summer holidays."
