Bari Sardo mobilized to condemn the violence . At 9:00 PM this evening, the procession wound its way from the town hall square through the city center and reached the churchyard of the Church of Our Lady of Monserrato, where the parish priest, Don Pietro Sabatini, a director of the football club, Ludovico Pilia, and the mayor, Ivan Mameli , spoke.

Adults and children alike participated in the candlelight vigil, in a surreal silence. "Enough with passing judgment on what happened. Let's stop judging, especially on social media. Let's pray to ease our pain," the priest warned. "We are here to condemn violence in all its forms," Pilia repeated several times.

The mayor, visibly moved, addressed the crowd, imploring respect for the families: "The pain is immense. Violence must be condemned regardless; there are no fan bases here." Among those present were the president of the Province of Ogliastra and mayor of Villagrande, Alessio Seoni, and his colleagues from Lanusei and Urzulei, Davide Burchi and Ennio Arba. Afterward, the faithful gathered in church to pray.

The torchlight procession was organized after the murder of Simone Concas , which occurred on Wednesday afternoon near the Circillai sports field.
