The investigation conducted by the Carabinieri of the Cagliari-San Bartolomeo Station has been successfully concluded, which led to the identification and reporting at large of a 34-year-old man, resident in Quartucciu, for receiving stolen goods and improper use of credit and debit cards stolen from several victims.

The investigation began following reports from three victims who had parked their cars at Marina Piccola between July 15 and August 28, 2024, only to find, upon their return, that their bags had been robbed.

Unfortunately, before the victims could block the stolen payment cards, the criminals had already made several illicit transactions.

Once the investigations were underway, the Carabinieri were finally able to identify the person responsible, who was already known to the police. During the investigations, one of the stolen bags was also found, in the possession of a 32-year-old woman, resident in Sinnai. The woman, a hairdresser who had never had any problems with the law until now, was suspected of being an accomplice of the man and was reported for the same crimes.

The Judicial Authority has been informed of the incident and investigations are continuing to collect further evidence that can clarify the entire dynamics of the facts and the actual responsibilities of the people involved.
