The era of Massimo Temussi at Ares ends. After having contributed in an important way to the reorganization of Sardinian healthcare in relation to the fight against the pandemic, the super manager will lead the Regional Planning Center, a fundamental hub in the coming months of the management of the funds of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan destined for Sardinia. The extraordinary commissioner of Ats-Ares will therefore not be among the thirteen that the Board will have to appoint by tomorrow for the general management of Ares, of eight Asl, of the university hospitals of Cagliari and Sassari, of the Areus (regional company for emergency urgency) and Brotzu.

Majority summit

Yesterday, at the table convened at Villa Devoto to listen to the requests of the majority parties, Christian Solinas made four possible names for the top management of the most important company: Thomas Schael, Giovanni Maria Soro, Antonio Lorenzo Spano, Marcello Tidore. The latter, however, will not move from the general direction of health. He could do it only to go and fill the role of head of one of the three departments established by law 107. At the helm of the Ares should arrive Schael, former director of the Asl Lanciano Vasto Chieti in Abruzzo.

At the top of the center-right the political forces have put down the indications in black and white, Solinas reserved the right to assemble them and to send the final scheme yesterday in the late evening. But at 10 pm yesterday, however, no one had received the message with the right joints. Two positions on which the confrontation lasted the longest, especially in the post-summit period: the general directions of Brotzu and Areus. For the first, a confirmation for Paolo Cannas (Reformers area) seemed out of the question. In the evening, however, other names linked to other parties were hypothesized. On the other hand, explained a majority councilor, "three regional councilors are few for the most important hospital in Sardinia".

On the Areus front, the battle seemed entirely between the League and the UDC: the Carroccio proposed the confirmation of Simonetta Bettelini, the centrists relaunched with Piero Delogu. But a third name came up late, apparently close to the senator of Psd'Az-Lega Carlo Doria: Marcello Giuseppe Acciaro, a physician from Sassari who was already in charge of the Crisis Unit of Northern Sardinia.

Asl Cagliari to the UDC

As for the other positions, Spano - among those indicated by the governor for Ares - should be reconfirmed at the general direction of the AoU of Sassari, as well as Agnese Foddis (Forza Italia area) at the AoU of Cagliari. Flavio Sensi (Brothers of Italy area) would remain at the helm of the ASL of Sassari, Giuliana Campus (Sardinia 20Venti area) could be indicated in Sulcis, while the ASL of Cagliari should go to the UDC with Chiara Seazzu. Forza Italia also asks for the control of the Gallura local health authority, perhaps with the general management of Paolo Tecleme. In Nuoro the Psd'Az points to the appointment of Angelo Maria Serusi.

The Ares headquarters node

Governance reform was also discussed yesterday morning in the sixth committee where on the agenda there was the vote of the opinion on the updating of the preliminary regional plan for the requalification and reorganization of health services, that is, the project for the spin-off of the Ats. The session has been updated to a later date to give some commissioners the opportunity to participate in the meeting of Villa Devoto. Daniele Cocco (LeU), Gianfranco Ganau (Pd) and Antonello Peru (Udc-Cambiamo) still had time to ask that the President of the Region intervene so that the headquarters of the Regional Health Authority remain in Sassari "for the respect of balanced and homogeneous distribution of health and administrative services in all the territories of Sardinia ".
