A simple gesture, but full of meaning: this morning the firefighters of the Provincial Command of Nuoro brought a moment of joy and comfort to the patients of the San Francesco hospital, visiting the Pediatrics, Nursery, Neonatal Intensive Care and Geriatrics departments.

During the meeting, the little patients received gifts in view of the Epiphany, experiencing moments of serenity together with their families and healthcare personnel. Afterwards, the firefighters brought happy new year greetings to the elderly in the Geriatrics department, offering a moment of closeness to those who live in fragile situations
The initiative, as stated in a note, "wanted to reiterate the importance of sharing moments of celebration with people in difficulty, transforming the holidays into an occasion of solidarity and attention towards those who are most vulnerable."
The smiles of the children and the thanks of the elderly have testified to the value of a simple gesture in bringing comfort and hope to those facing a difficult period, far from their loved ones and their daily habits.
"The hope is that the new year will bring improvements and healing, allowing everyone to return home soon, hug their loved ones again and find serenity and well-being," they say from the command.
