A car and a van collided today in Macchiareddu, in the municipal area of Assemini.
The serious accident took place on provincial road 92, near the Antica Casa Marini, shortly before 1.30 pm: the causes of the violent impact have yet to be ascertained.
The driver of the van was unhurt, while the man driving the car, a Fiat Grande Punto, was seriously injured.
The firefighters intervened to extract him from the passenger compartment, then the man was entrusted to the 118 staff who transported him to the hospital in red code.
Instead, the local police intervened for the legal findings and investigations.
