They tried to steal construction tools but were stopped by the security guards of the business.

Two bricklayers from Uta, aged 27 and 30, with a clean record , were reported to the Cagliari Public Prosecutor's Office for aggravated theft.

The episode took place yesterday afternoon in the Tecnomat sales point in Assemini, in via San Giorgio . The two masons took possession of building tools worth 265 euros and passed the boxes through the exit reserved for those who had not made any purchases.

But the shop vigilantes had seen them fumbling among the shelves, blocked them and handed them over to the carabinieri who arrived on the spot after a call to 112. The goods were returned to the store manager.
