Fear and violence in Assemini where a 41-year-old man was beaten to death by three people, who after beating him also stole his car. The fury of the three attackers was triggered by a maneuver they described as “risky” by the 41-year-old.
According to the reconstruction by the Carabinieri, the three - a 40-year-old, a 28-year-old and a 34-year-old, all already known to the police - were aboard a Golf that was overtaken on the state road 130 by the Audi A4 driven by the 41-year-old. An overtaking that did not go down well with the three, who therefore chased the Audi , stopping it at the intersection with Via Piave in Assemini .
The 41-year-old was then pulled out of the car and the attackers kicked and punched him. Then one of them got into the Audi and drove it away. The owner tried to stop him but was dragged for a few meters and finally fell on the asphalt.
After the alarm, the Carabinieri patrols arrived on site and tracked down the three in Via Serpentara - where they had abandoned the Audi - and were trying to get away on board the Golf. All three were arrested. They will have to answer for robbery, violence and injuries.
The injured man, however, was transported to the Policlinico of Monserrato by 118. The doctors found that his wounds would heal in 20 days.
