Two plenary meetings are scheduled at the Cervo Conference Center in Porto Cervo this afternoon as part of the G20 Beaches, the summit, which began yesterday, which brings together in these days in Arzachena the Italian municipalities that reach a million tourist presences at the year.
”DMO and Governance Models – is the theme of the first meeting - Which organizational structures prove to be the most effective in pursuing the objectives of environmental, social and economic sustainability of the coasts, making the many players in the supply chain collaborate? The second assembly has instead the theme: Gallery of ideas for the future of the Italian coasts; Plenary presentation of the results of the work tables and the priority actions to be undertaken by coastal destinations in the coming years. In the morning, 8 workshops and focus groups were held on the main issues related to coastal destinations.
The goal pursued for some time by the G20 Beaches is to obtain a law that takes into account the problems that are created for seaside cities that go from 10 or 15 thousand inhabitants to over 100 or 200 thousand during the summer months.
"The goal that we all have is to guarantee an improvement in the quality of life of the residents and to create new development opportunities for our communities: in this way we will be able to improve our tourist offer", declared the coordinator Roberta Nesto some time ago. Tomorrow, the last day of the summit, at the AMA-Auditorium Multidisciplinare of Arzachena, from 9.30 to 10.30 there will be a meeting reserved for the tour operators of Arzachena with the presentation and comparison of the first results of the new tourism development strategy of the Municipality of Smeralda. The annual G20Spiagge national conference will take place at 11 on the theme: Let's define together the future of the Italian coasts, the first national tourism sector; Moderator Monica Leofreddi, Rai TV presenter.
