Arbus, flue of a wood stove explodes: 96-year-old woman rescued from flames

Fear this morning in via Repubblica in Arbus , in the historic center of the town, where, around 9, the flue of a wood stove exploded .

The explosion occurred on the top floor of a three-level building , an old house with wooden ceilings.

Moments of great concern for the fire that broke out immediately after the explosion. A 96-year-old woman who lives on the second floor of the building was rescued : her son , a dentist who left to go to work, saw the flames from the street and rushed to lead the old woman out of the house .

The Sanluri fire brigade intervened immediately, and the local police were also on site.
