The figure increases: the Municipality of Arborea, according to the law, should return to the citizens one million and 248 thousand euros. The detailed calculation was carried out by the minority councilors of the Municipality of Arborea who return once again to the Tari "mess".

They are the ones who pointed out a few days ago that the offices had not published the Tari rates for 2024 and 2022 on the Ministry website. This is a mandatory act by law. A failure to comply that would make the bills already paid by citizens null and void.

"This - say Marco Pinna, Luca Montisci and Giovanni Marras - obliges the Municipality to reimburse a total of one million and 248 thousand euros: 581 thousand euros is the total tax paid in 2022, 666 thousand euros instead for 2024. Then we need to calculate the costs for the new billing and sending the new payment notices. It would seem that the chain of control within the administration has not worked".

In these cases, the law provides that the previous year's rates must be applied. So for 2022, those of 2021 and those of 2023 for the year 2024. In the meantime, the Municipality of Arborea is working to find a solution. This was announced by the Councilor for the Budget Antonella Cenghialta. The matter should be discussed during the next City Council. The opposition has presented both a motion and a question. However, the date has not yet been set.
