Truck tires, plastic chairs, plumbing and sewer fittings. This waste was among the 600 kilograms recovered from the seabed of the Arbatax harbor.
They were extracted yesterday morning, after a 40-minute dive, by volunteers during an eco-day as part of an initiative promoted by the environmental protection organization Save My Ocean in collaboration with a local diving association, the Arbatax Nautical Club, the Municipality, and the Maritime District Office headed by Lieutenant Mattia Caniglia.
The initiative, which annually marks the beginning of the summer season and is part of a broader plan planned along the coast, highlights the protection of the marine and coastal environment, an issue addressed by Coast Guard personnel and Save My Ocean.
