The Costa Smeralda water park's operations were suspended by an urgent mayoral order due to poor hygiene and sanitation. A week after its closure, the owner is defending itself: "On August 26, the Gallura Local Health Authority (ASL) carried out an inspection of the Aquadream water park, noting some suspected critical issues and granting it until September 9 to comply with certain measures. Nuova Aquadream srl promptly responded by having the required laboratory tests performed on the pool water, which were negative and therefore pose no risk to users, " the owners wrote in a statement, posting the results of the tests on social media.

"Completely unexpectedly, the following day, the Local Health Authority, without informing the company and depriving it of the deadline initially granted, requested and obtained from the mayor of Arzachena an urgent order to close the park due to alleged health risks to park users," the statement continues. "The results of the tests, however, allow us to maintain that Aquadream park users have never faced any health risks, confirming that the safety and security of our customers are our priority. Therefore, the ordered closure is completely unjustified and detrimental to the park's image," the statement concludes, specifying that La Nuova Aquadream srl has instructed its lawyers to evaluate any initiative useful for protecting its rights and legitimate interests against the authorities in charge.
