An hour and a half of interrogation in the trial that sees her under indictment for the positions of director general of the presidency of the Region and of the Regional Civil Protection entrusted in June 2019 to the lawyer Silvia Curto and to the engineer Antonio Pasquale Belloi.

Initiative taken, according to the reconstruction of the investigators and Guardia di Finanza of Cagliari, in the absence of the necessary qualifications for the chosen ones and after an alleged pressure on who had to guarantee the legitimacy of the decision: the general director of personnel Carmine Spinelli.

The regional councilor for General Affairs, Valeria Satta, presented herself before the judge of the preliminary hearings Ermengarda Ferrarese and explained, by answering the questions of her lawyer Massimiliano Ravenna and the public prosecutor Andrea Vacca, the origin of the decisions and reiterated the correctness of choices. The exponent of the junta is accused of attempted extortion because he allegedly tried to convince the manager Carmine Spinelli with insistent pressure to put the initials on the legitimacy act of Belloi's appointment. Hypothesis rejected by the suspect already in the past before the prosecutor and also today with the investigating judge (the competence, she said, was of technicians and administrators and she trusted, and the extension granted as such did not need the managerial visa already affixed previously ).

In the same trial, the governor Christian Solinas and his cabinet chief Maria Grazia Vivarelli are accused. Both, like Satta herself, answer for abuse of office, Vivarelli also for undue induction.

The president of the Region, assisted by the lawyer Salvatore Casula, had argued that Belloi and Curto had "significant experience of management", a presence considered "non-existent" by prosecutor Vacca.

Vivarelli, protected by the lawyer Rinaldo Lai, would have pushed Spinelli to oppose signing the deed of legitimacy of Belloi's appointment.

Neither of them was present in the courtroom due to a legitimate impediment. The trial will resume on March 21st.
