Nine people reported, as many guns recovered, a Sardinian deer and a mouflon killed illegally and seized. This is the balance sheet of an anti-poaching operation carried out in the last week by the Inspectorate Service of the Forestry Corps of Cagliari.

In Dolianova, after the publication on social networks of an image that took a shot of a Sardinian deer and the weapon most likely used for this crime, the foresters started investigations by identifying the owner of the weapon together with the animal remains, to following a house search ordered by the public prosecutor of Cagliari. The crimes of killing of particularly protected species and omitted custody have been contested since the weapon, duly reported, was kept in a different place from the one reported.

In Villacidro, on the other hand, inside the Montimannu wildlife protection oasis some poachers, part of a hunting company, were caught in the act of having killed, in a prohibited area, a specimen of mouflon and two wild boars with ammunition. buckshot (prohibited for hunting). At the time of the surgery they were intent on skinning the mouflon to recover the skin.
