The fires continue to ravage Sardinia. Today, firefighters worked for several hours to put out numerous blazes that raged from Oristano to Cagliari.

In the afternoon, the first reports arrived of three fires burning in Siamaggiore in the Sa Nassa area, in Nurachi (near the 292 North Western Sardinian state road) and Uras in the Canale Acque Alte area.

The situation is more serious in the Guspini area, in the Medio Campidano region, where a fire has affected the Pauli Sirbanu area. Given the size of the blaze, two helicopters from the regional fleet were called in, taking off from the operational bases of Fenosu and Villasalto.

Things were worse in Silius , where a fire broke out in a wooded area near Castello Sassai. Along with a helicopter and a Superpuma, two Canadair aircraft arrived from Olbia and Ciampino.

In the Cagliari area there were fires in Capoterra , Quartu , Quartucciu, Sestu and Monserrato .

In Capoterra, a large brush fire broke out in the Pisighittu area: the flames spread through brush and reeds , reaching farmland and several private homes . Equipment, household goods, and the wreckage of abandoned cars caught fire. Some people were forced to evacuate their homes as a precaution.
On site, along with the Cagliari firefighters, were also a helicopter from the regional firefighting fleet, Civil Protection teams, and the Capoterra local police to manage traffic.

Firefighters were also at work in the countryside near Provincial Road 8 in Sestu . The flames, spreading through the brush , had engulfed private land and grazed several scattered homes in the area.

In Quartu , in the Is Ammostus area, between "Is Funtaneddas" and the Via dell'Autonomia regionale, several hectares of land were burned, damaging a country house and a car . Several LPG cylinders were also found in the flames, slowing down the extinguishing operations.

Nearly five hectares of land near the juvenile prison in Quartucciu are on fire. The blaze was contained thanks to a private citizen's bulldozer, which created a firebreak before the fire reached several homes and an olive grove.
