Receiving stolen goods, money laundering, and illegal possession of ammunition: a man was reported on this charge in Alghero by the Carabinieri of the local company, who intervened with the soldiers of the "Cacciatori di Sardegna" Helicopter Squadron.
The intervention followed investigations that led to a house search, during which the military found various materials of illicit origin.
Two vans, owned by construction and shipbuilding contractors, were found stolen in the last week in the municipality of Alghero on the land owned by the man.
A luxury car, which had been stolen in France, was also recovered. The Carabinieri also discovered and seized a large quantity of illegally held ammunition, namely 97 12-gauge rounds and 210 .22-gauge rounds.
The vehicles were returned to their rightful owners, while the remaining material was seized and placed at the disposal of the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office, which is coordinating and directing the investigation.
