Race against time to save a 36-year-old Sardinian woman, pregnant in her 25th week, and her baby, in imminent danger of life.
An Air Force Falcon 900 was activated to urgently transport the woman from Alghero to Pescara.
The 36-year-old was hospitalized at the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari for complications to the fetus.
The aircraft, which took off in the late morning from the Ciampino military airport, reached the airport of the Catalan city in just over an hour.
"After the boarding of the woman assisted by a medical team and accompanied by her husband - reads a note from the Air Force - the military aircraft immediately departed for the Pescara airport where the patient continued her journey by ambulance to the "Hospital of Chieti. The emergency flight, requested by the Prefecture of Sassari, was immediately arranged and coordinated by the Top Situation Room of the Air Squad Command, the operations room of the Air Force".
