Hospital and emergency room without electricity for the whole of Saturday, May 24th. The ASL of Sassari communicates from 5pm to 8pm, to allow for the execution of essential maintenance on the systems and to maintain safety conditions, a total interruption of electricity is planned throughout the hospital of Alghero. For this reason, in case of emergencies, the population is invited to contact the other emergency rooms in the area.

The scheduled operation, "unavoidable and unpostponable", as stated in a note, was scheduled in this time slot in order to limit inconvenience and not interfere with hospital healthcare activity, in particular with scheduled operating sessions and the calendar of outpatient visits.

Due to the interruption of the electricity supply, scheduled to replace the generator set supplied to the Civil Hospital, the emergency room (with interruption of activities from 1 pm) and the operating rooms will be suspended.

The ASL of Sassari assures the population that assistance to patients will not be affected in any way.

"The entire administrative-health structure is involved in this important intervention in order to implement all organizational countermeasures to deal with the difficulties caused by the lack of electricity," the note concludes.
