A large fire has broken out in the countryside of San Gavino Monreale, in the "Su Campu" area . Two vehicles from the Sanluri fire brigade and a fire truck from Cagliari are operating on the scene. A helicopter and a Forestry Corps vehicle are also arriving to provide support.

Firefighters are busy extinguishing the fire and are working to prevent the fire from affecting homes in the immediate vicinity.
