A large fire that broke out this afternoon is threatening Ales.

According to reports, the flames started in the area of Barumele Castle, located southwest of the town. Driven by strong sirocco winds, they spread until they threatened homes on the outskirts of town and industrial schools.

The deployment of aerial resources is impressive, supporting the firefighting activities carried out by teams on the ground from above.

Two Canadairs arrived from Olbia, alongside two helicopters and a SuperPuma from the regional fire department.
