Detention and cultivation for the purpose of drug dealing is the accusation that an unemployed 50-year-old will have to answer, surprised in Sassari by the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza with a marijuana plantation at home.

The intervention of the financiers at the end of a targeted info-investigative activity that led to the search in the man's house, in the countryside of Sassari, and in the surrounding area of over 3 hectares.

The research operations, conducted with the help of the anti-drug dog "Ginko", made it possible to find about eighty Indian hemp plants camouflaged among the dense Mediterranean vegetation present: the plantation was equipped with an efficient drip irrigation system.

Furthermore, in the cavity of the searched house, a dryer equipped with a special ventilation and lighting system was found, where numerous stems with marijuana inflorescences had been hung.

Also found in the house are objects and tools suitable for the cultivation and packaging of the drug, as well as a quantity of already dried marijuana, hashish and cash.

Overall, the Yellow Flames have seized over 80 marijuana plants, about 2 kg of already dried marijuana, 50 grams of hashish and about 3,000 euros in cash. The seized drug would have yielded, if placed on the illegal market of minute dealers, as much as 200 thousand euros.

The arrested person was placed under house arrest at the disposal of the judicial authority.
