A collision on the Sassari-Olbia highway, a gas leak at risk: firefighters worked for three hours.

A complex emergency operation for the firefighters of the Ozieri detachment, who responded yesterday evening around 8:30 pm to an accident on state road 729 (the Sassari-Olbia) at km 12,200, near the junction for Ardara.

A collision between a car and a van resulted in a dangerous gas leak from the latter's LPG tank. The operations room dispatched the NBC unit, specialized in liquefied propane transfers, to the scene.

Upon arrival, the specialists proceeded to remove the gas by safely burning the product using a torch.

The operation lasted approximately three hours, securing the entire area. No injuries were reported. The Carabinieri were also on site to conduct surveys and establish the dynamics of the incident.
