Four people were injured in a serious road accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon, shortly after 6:00 PM, along the State Road 131 DCN, at kilometer 55, between Nuoro and the Marreri junction.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision: a Fiat 500L, a van, and a third vehicle which, according to initial reconstruction, arrived after the head-on impact between the first two vehicles, crashing into the vehicles already involved in the accident.
The accident occurred on a particularly critical stretch of road, where a diversion is still active due to roadworks.

At that point, the roadway narrows from four lanes (two in each direction) to two, with a single lane in each direction. This narrowing, combined with the traffic and road surface conditions, may have contributed to the accident, although the cause remains under investigation.
The Nuoro firefighters responded to the scene, extracting three people from the wreckage, and emergency medical services transported the injured to the hospital. Their conditions are serious, but not life-threatening.
Traffic police officers were also on site to carry out surveys and reconstruct the exact circumstances of the incident.
The road remained closed for several hours, causing long queues and traffic disruption in both directions, once again causing serious inconvenience to the residents of Nuoro.
