A traffic accident occurred in the center of Alghero last night, Wednesday, around 8:00 PM, fortunately without serious injuries. The collision occurred on Via Del Corallo, at the intersection of Via Deledda and Via Barracu.

A Renault Clio and an Alfa Romeo collided at an intersection, likely due to a driver failing to stop. The impact was very strong: the Clio was thrown dozens of meters from the crash site. Ambulances responded to the scene and transported the five injured people to the emergency room at Alghero Hospital. No one sustained serious injuries.

Traveling on board the Alfa were three young men from Alghero aged 27, 16 and 21, while in the Clio were a 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman from Porto Torres.

Local police, led by Commander Salvatore Masala, conducted surveys and managed traffic, causing inevitable delays in the area. Firefighters also intervened to secure the roadway.
