Great success for Sardinia at the most important Italian tourist marketplace, the Ttg Travel Experience in Rimini, which ended today.

Introducing the Italian tourism sector to an island that is still little known, complementary to the highly sought-after sea, was the aim of the Region's Tourism Department in the review, which has reached its 58th edition this year.

Operators from over 40 countries were present.

The promotion strategy continues in the wake of the success achieved by the Archeologika Sardegna project, which has led many tour operators to discover the enormous historical-cultural-gastronomic potential of the hinterland, essential to make the stay experience in our territory truly complete.

"With the various projects we have in place, of which Archeologika is an example, we intend to trigger a virtuous mechanism capable of offering our visitors more sought-after, new products and excellent services not only in the coastal resorts but also in the structures of the areas We intend to accompany, therefore, in a growth aimed at bringing Sardinia out of the limits of a commonplace that recognizes the extraordinary value of the sea proposal but that has, for too long, sacrificed aspects and products of the highest value, such as archeology and gastronomy ", affirmed the councilor of Tourism, Handicraft and Commerce Gianni Chessa.

"The sea of the island has therefore become the engine to draw the attention of operators to new communication and promotion assets that intend to tell about Sardinia. We therefore also talked about culture and history with the minor villages and archaeological sites , without forgetting the oudoor activities. A rediscovery of values and traditions that fascinate the traveler who, first attracted by the sea, also falls in love with the 'other' Sardinia. We have eight months a year to enhance and numerous products with which to do it : sporting events, archaeological tourism, congress tourism ", concluded the exponent of the Solinas junta.

Representing the vast Sardinian tourist offer there were 36 co-exhibitors including consortia, local operators, accommodation facilities and resorts, who met the travel agents at the almost 400 square meter stand with four exhibition fronts.
