The referees for the ninth day of the Serie A championship have been appointed.

Daniele Chiffi from Padua has been called to referee the match between Salernitana and Cagliari scheduled for next Sunday at 3pm at the Arechi stadium in Salerno. He can boast 91 appearances in Serie A, he has been an international referee since 2022 and in the same year he won the Farina award as best emerging whistler.

A very delicate match for both teams, who are still without victories and occupy the last two places in the standings.

To support the Paduan whistler there will be Tolfo and Ceccon as assistants, Prontera as fourth official, Marini and Serra Var and Avar.

Chiffi has refereed Cagliari 4 times in Serie A, the rossoblù have a score of three defeats and one victory. He managed Cagliari three times in Serie B (two wins and a draw), once in the Italian Cup (one defeat). However, the two times he has been in charge of Serie A matches against Salernitana, the spoils for the Campania team are one victory and one defeat.
