Marko Rog leaves Sardinia to return to play in his homeland, Croatia.

Cagliari has in fact announced «the transfer of the right to sporting performances of the player Marko Rog who is moving to Dinamo Zagreb on loan until 1 January 2025».

In the official note, the club retraces the midfielder's career in rossoblù, unfortunately punctuated by too many injuries: «Arriving on the island in the summer of 2019, he scored his first goal in rossoblù on his debut, on 18 August, in the victory in the Cup Italy against Chievo Verona. In November he scored his first league goal in the 5-2 home win against Fiorentina. Last season with 21 appearances and 1 goal - the winning goal scored at the Unipol Domus against Modena (1-0) - he made his precious contribution to the team's immediate rise in Serie A.

In recent years - concludes the Cagliari note - he has made 79 appearances for Cagliari. Now a new stage of his career begins: the return to Croatia, to the team in which he has already been a protagonist, to play continuously and find his best form."
