«Todde and the Five Star Movement have been moralizing the centre-right for years, now if they are coherent they should act accordingly: cancel the law on staff approved by the centre-right in the last legislature or apologize to the citizens for having made fun of them with demagoguery and populism for the sole purpose of increasing electoral consensus."

Thus Fausto Piga, deputy group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the regional council , stings the governor of Sardinia and Campo Largo, in a note, where he explains: «In the last legislature, when we reviewed the technical-political organization of departments and presidency, we did it in the belief that it could be a useful tool to improve government action, we have always had a clear conscience, but on the other hand PD and 5S set up barricades, defining it as a couch potato law that slapped the poor in the face."

«Let me be clear, – continues Piga – being opposed to a legislative measure and making the consequent opposition is legitimate and even necessary if animated by healthy intentions and real sensitivities, but now that PD and 5S are in government of the region they must make a transparent choice towards the citizens : if that law is really useful for governing, they should apologize for what they said in the past making fun of the citizens or have the coherence to repeal the law on staff".

Michele Pais, coordinator of the League in Sardinia and former president of the Regional Council, is also on the same wavelength: «In the past legislature, when we approved the staff law - what PD and 5S with indignation and anger called the armchair factory law, a slap in the face to the poor Sardinians - we did it in good faith and thinking that it could be a useful procedure to strengthen the political action of whoever would find himself at the helm of the Region . PD and 5S didn't think so, a very respectable position, but today they must demonstrate that they are coherent and President Todde must cancel the armchair manufacturing law ."

«Todde doesn't try to confuse Sardinians' ideas by possibly reducing the number of nominees to appear different from those who preceded her - Pais's final thrust - one of two things: the law approved by the centre-right is right or we go back to the past with the cancellation of the so-called armchair factory law ".

For her part, governor Todde, three days ago, explained in the Regional Council, responding to the criticisms: «We have structured our offices using current legislation, and thus built our team. Some of you talked about maxi-staff and compensation, failing to remember that the current law was inherited from the previous legislature. But I want to reassure you: we will use the figures functional to the work we have to do and we will not name many of them." «A note of color – added Todde – on the compensation of the general secretary: it is structured with a fixed one (lower than his predecessors) and a variable one which will only be paid if objectives are clear and achieved. Unlike in the past where the variable was divided monthly and collected regardless of the achievement of the end-of-year objectives" .
