Cagliari will also be there next Wednesday at the twenty-eighth edition of the Gentleman Fair Play Award, one of the main ones in Italian football. Leonardo Pavoletti is the chosen one for the Morosini Fair Play Award, named after the midfielder who tragically passed away in April 2012.

The recognition, organized with the support of Lega B and its president Mauro Balata, goes to Cagliari's number 30 for the values he embodies, the same ones that Morosini represented on the pitch, and will come three months after the unforgettable evening in Bari where his goal in the 94th minute sent Claudio Ranieri's rossoblù to Serie A.

The prize. In the evening, which will be hosted by Massimo Caputi with Laura Barriales and Giorgia Rossi at the barracks of the Teulié Military School in Milan, in addition to that for Pavoletti from the last Serie B, the Gentleman Fair Play Serie A Award is also expected (Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Lautaro Martínez, Nicolò Fagioli and Emil Audero), then the Special Gentleman Award CONI Lombardia Awards at Monza as a revelation team, the Manager of the Year Award 2022-2023 to the CEO of Inter Giuseppe Marotta, the Platinum Gentleman Award for Lifetime Achievement at former AC Milan captain Franco Baresi and the Lega Pro Special Gentleman Award to the young footballer Asia Confortino of Pro Patria (who, after being injured on the pitch, refused in hospital to have the shirt of the team she plays for cut).
