The Gian Maria Volonté Award doubles. On the occasion of the 19th edition of “The actor's suitcase”, scheduled in La Maddalena from 26 to 30 July, they will collect the coveted copper boat named after the great actor Alba Rohrwacher and Renato Carpentieri .

The double recognition represents a novelty compared to the past of the festival dedicated to the profession of the actor, an event that saw protagonists of contemporary Italian cinema parading on the stage of the Fortress "I Colmi" such as Luigi lo Cascio, Fabrizio Gifuni, Valerio Mastrandrea, Elio Germano , Jasmine Trinca, Stefano Accorsi, Michele Riondino, Isabella Ragonese, Pierfrancesco Favino and Donatella Finocchiaro, with a posthumous award to Ennio Fantastichini in 2019. Appointment then on July 28 for the first of the two statuettes , which Rohrwacher, actress loved by Marco Bellocchio, Daniele Luchetti, Pupi Avati, Nanni Moretti, Paolo Genovese and Emma Dante, with forays into international cinema, directed in recent years by Arnaud Desplechin and Maggie Gyllenhaal, will receive from the hands of the hostess Giovanna Gravina Volonté .

On 30 July the Volonté Prize will be awarded to Carpentieri , actor, author and director of theater and cinema, also engaged this year at ValigiaLab from 1st to 8th August on the island of Caprera as conductor.
