"Not even one euro in the financial sector for blue tongue": Coldiretti Sardegna's complaint
The trade association asks for refreshments for farmers who have suffered losses
Not even one euro in financial has been foreseen for blue tongue .
This was denounced by Coldiretti Sardegna, which sent its observations to the Third Commission on "a particularly complex proposal, where a significant part of the foreseen resources cannot be transformed into budgetary commitments by the end of the 2021 financial year for which there is little more than 65 working days ".
The trade association points out the absence of references to the blue language, which is raging in most of the regional territory and which in 40 days has reached 1,186 farms for a total of 416,719 animals involved, of which 37,198 (9%) show symptoms and 3,593 died (0.86%).
Coldiretti Sardegna asks for compensation for farmers for losses due to errors of the public administration, even if not even one euro is planned to date.
“It is absolutely necessary to integrate this point - said the president of Coldiretti Sardegna Battista Cualbu -, the blue tongue, of which unfortunately we know the devastation, is now present in most of the regional territory and affects over a thousand companies. It is necessary to provide for a relief for the losses and non-production that will occur in the companies involved as well as for the expenses for the purchase of repellents ".
Furthermore, Coldiretti Sardegna asks to integrate and extend "the reimbursements provided for the tests of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), performed on cattle in the year 2021, up to a total limit of 2 million euros, also to the sheep sector, providing a multi-year period ".
On the bill for the Finance Act "both in the hearing of last September 17 and in the note sent to the Third Regional Commission - recalled the director of Coldiretti Sardegna Luca Saba - we stressed the need to streamline it after evaluating the concrete implementation of the planned interventions . We hope to review a financial plan of concreteness and not the positioning of money that we imagine cannot be used for too short a time ”.
For Coldiretti Sardegna there would be important points left out of the text, such as "the challenge to the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises, which seems to have disappeared from the horizon of the priorities of the Regional Council", and the integration and improvement of others such as "the coordination of some interventions with the Rural Development Program "," the integration of resources from the regional budget for the flow of some RDP measures in which there are a lot of excess demands and for which no community resources have been planned, avoiding allocating them to those where instead the (community) resources are conspicuous ".
