Telling the story of the war against fascism through the memory of the feelings of brotherhood, freedom, and love of those who fought : this weekend, The Jazz Club Network continues its events with the show "Nessuna Grazia: Gramsci and Pertini, a story of imprisonment and resistance," a monologue based on the novel of the same name by Cosimo Damiano Damato, performed by the author himself and with musical accompaniment by Antonello Salis and Giuseppe Bassi.

The dates of November 14th and 15th will take place at the Jazzino in Cagliari at 9:30 pm, while the one on the 16th will be at the Vecchio Mulino in Sassari, starting at 8:30 pm.

Published by Rai Libri in the "Cristalli Sognanti" series, Damato's novel is transposed into a theatrical narrative, telling the story of a youth who sacrificed their best years for their own freedom and that of posterity, in a succession of words and music that pay homage to the eightieth anniversary of the victory of the Partisan Resistance.

It's no coincidence that "When Music Celebrates Liberation" is the subtitle of the work, in which Damato's narrative voice is enriched by original compositions and improvisations by Salis (piano and accordion) and Bassi (double bass), creating a unique and emotionally impactful soundscape. A multidisciplinary artistic experience, reflecting on the true values of anti-fascism.
