A journey through culture, sustainability and traditions: Quartu celebrates a new way of traveling . From 20 to 29 June 2025, the city will host A.Si.Biri – Festival of ethical and sustainable tourism , an event that celebrates and promotes responsible tourism practices, attentive to the environment, respect for local cultures and community development.

The name A.Si.Biri, which in Campidanese Sardinian means 'goodbye', contains a profound message: a wish to meet again, because the experience lived has left a mark on the heart, both in those who arrive and in those who welcome . The festival represents a unique opportunity to raise awareness among visitors on the importance of a more conscious tourism, which enhances the territory without distorting it.

A rich program of events will lead participants to rediscover ancient historic homes, traditional arts and crafts, and to live authentic experiences through outdoor activities, meetings with artisans, workshops, tastings of local products and performances by local artists. In total, there are 40 events in 10 days, with many local businesses committed to telling and promoting the city.

A real journey through time, among sensations, scents and flavors of an ancient and at the same time modern land, which will enrich participants with unique emotions and experiences. Ten days to be lived all at once, with enthusiasm and passion. A showcase to show the potential of Quartu, therefore a way to attract visitors, but also an opportunity for Sardinian citizens to fully enjoy their territory.

"The municipal administration is absolutely convinced of the tourist potential of Quartu and for this reason it has worked in recent years with a view to enhancing the territory, with targeted investments, I am thinking in particular of the redevelopment of Poetto , almost completed for the first lot, but also with long-term policies, possible thanks to the recent approval of the Coastal Use Plan - explains the Councilor for Productive Activities and Territorial Development Rossana Perra -. Tourism can become the driving economic sector of our city, a sort of container in which the various activities converge. This festival, with 40 participating operators, offers us an excellent opportunity to create synergy and show ourselves, so as to attract new tourists but also stimulate those who have already chosen Quartu, so that perhaps they will return next year. And precisely in this perspective I also greatly appreciated the name chosen for the festival, a goodbye, a hope to meet again, to welcome back".

The event will be organized by the Quartu Sant'Elena Tourist Association, with the patronage of the Municipality.
