The great show of international sailing has given intense emotions to the many enthusiasts and tourists who flocked from various parts of the world to attend the regattas of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup , a prestigious trophy organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in collaboration with the IMA (International Maxi Association) now in its thirty-second edition.
The cancellation of the last race scheduled, due to the strong mistral wind, did not affect the final classification that decreed the victory in the J Class of Sveva , followed in order by Ranger and Velsheda .
Among the Supermaxi the Swan 115 Shamanna won ahead of the Spirit Yachts 111 Geist .

In the Maxi class, the most numerous with 13 yachts, Highland Fling XI was the winner ahead of the Wallycento Galateia and the Wally 93 Bullitt.
Among the pure racers Mini Maxi 1 Vesper climbed to the top step of the podium followed by Proteus and Bella Mente, while in the Mini Maxi 2 class Capricorno overtook Mylius 80 Twin Soul B by three points, trailing Wally 78 Rose by three points.
H2O clearly won in the Mini Maxi 3 & 4 category with four first places.
Behind him, in order, the Mylius 65 FD Oscar 3 and the Dehler 60 Blue Oyster.
The 2022 edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup will also be remembered for the racing debut of FlyingNikka , the first Mini Maxi foiler to be built.
In consideration of its completely different concept compared to traditional boats, FlyingNikka sailed in a special class, the Mini Maxi 0 in which it was the only competitor.
