"Sardinia is a South in the South: on the island the battle against the gap must be more intense and attentive than elsewhere".

It is a passage from the intervention of the Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion Mara Carfagna during the meeting with a delegation of Sardinian mayors.

The face to face was attended by Daniela Falconi (Fonni), Emiliano Deiana (President of Anci Sardegna), Paola Casula (Guasila), Antonio Mellino (Nule), Andrea Soddu (Nuoro), Laura Capelli (Buggerru), Angelo Sini (Pattada) and Salvatore Masia (vice-president of Anci Sardegna). From the meeting it emerged the need to set up a technical table between all the administrative subjects involved in the NRP to put resources and projects into a system.

Minister Carfagna also undertook to expand the number of internal areas receiving Snai funds. In the old scheme, Sardinia is heavily penalized, with the inclusion of only two internal areas: the minister has guaranteed greater attention in defining the next "map" on which the Cohesion agency is already working.
