It is ASD Pirri, after having conquered the First Category Group A last season by climbing to the Promozione, to win the first Sardinian Serie B beach soccer championship.

In the two days of competitions on the beach of Santa Margherita di Pula he got the better of Capoterra, Ferrini and the landlords of Pula, closing the round with full points. The 5-3 in the last match against Cagliari was decisive, which by chance also resulted in the play-off to win the tournament between the two teams that had won both the first two days: Enrico Valluzzi scored (hat-trick), Alessio Lai and Emanuele Nenna, while for Ferrini Gianluca Podda and Nicola Murgia scored plus an own goal.

For Pirri there is also qualification for the national finals in Viareggio, from 1 to 3 August. "We responded with enthusiasm to the invitation, we went to do things well and the result we had set for ourselves arrived", commented Pirri sporting director Stefano Siddi. «Now we will go to the final phase, with the aim of going as far forward as possible. For us, however, it is new: we are making our debut in beach soccer and we are happy».

The tournament. This was the first edition of the Serie B of beach soccer on the island, a debut for what the Sardinia Regional Committee wants to make a fixed appointment in the summer. Present were the mayor of Pula Walter Cabasino and the councilor for sport and deputy mayor of the town Elisabetta Loi, who also took part in the awards ceremony together with the president of CR Sardegna Gianni Cadoni. «Thanks to the administration of Pula for their hospitality and welcome, it will be the basis of regional beach soccer. We already have experience with many national and international events: the regional championship was missing and this weekend we inaugurated it », his words.
