Paris 2024, Ganna silver in the time trial: it is the first Italian medal

Filippo Ganna wins Italy's first medal at the Paris 2024 Games.

The Italian finished in second place, and therefore silver, in the individual time trial won by the Belgian Remco Evenepoel.

Luigi Samele instead won the bronze medal in sabre . The Italian beat the Egyptian Ziad Elsissy in the final.

Another bronze for Italy came in the 4X100 freestyle relay. The Azzurri finished in third place behind the United States, gold, and Australia, silver.
